Cast

For the cast of the music video I wanted to overhaul the look of the band as the band Red Saturday didn't have the best image. I wanted to give the band a more indie feel.

At first we had three girls and a main singer which looked slightly more punk-rock that i would of originally wanted but toning it down it was looking good.

Unfortunately the three girls who were initially taking parted all pulled out.

My second attempt went better at getting a cast getting a band of three instead of four and they where all boys which the original band was. The guys had their own image which suited my view nicely. Having their own indie look.

Alex(producer) asked second years.

Light Setup - 3

A unwanted light source was badly lighting one of the band members which made him stand out from the others. Using this i switched around the band, putting the main singer in the light to purposely make him stand out.

With the lights off i directed the lights further to the floor and the wooden flooring gave a nice reflection . The left light was constantly moved until i got it in the right place. There was also an unwanted light flooding one of the band members so i set out to fix this by simply turning it off, but it wasn't possible with the current lighting grid so i had to mix it in with the performance.

I set up my lights at the rear of the band and initially the lights were faced directly forward, i then angled them towards the centre of the room towards the camera to light up the band more. I also moved back the track and dolly as it was too close. I moved the drum kit several times before i added the rest of the band as i intended to set the band up around the drum kit.
